Elder Davis Flys on an Air Plane
It will be Tuesday January 24th that Elder Davis departs the state of Utah for his field of labor for our Savior Jesus Christ.

I had a brief visit with Sister Wilson and she and President are excited to meet the new Elders. I see on the weather widgets that it is currently warmer in Everett than in Salt Lake. However, there have been ice storms and severe weather this past week.

Last MTC Week
Colin will be leaving the MTC bound for Washington on January 24th. I spoke with Sister Wilson (Mission Mom) and she is excited to receive the new Elders.
Colin's Last letter to me was about 15 words. "Everything is the same. School 24/5 and then there's church. Leaving Tuesday. I'm excited. I'll keep in touch."
So much for letter writing, eh?
I hope to hear better experiences once he is in the mission and has his first area assignment.

Mission "Farewell" 1/1/2012 11 AM
Elder Colin Davis will be talking in church on January 1 at 11 AM Sacrament meeting.
The address of the church is 1050 E 10600 S, SANDY, UTAH. You will want to get off I-15 at the 10600 South Exit and turn East. Continue East through 700 East and through the light at Carnation (10th East). The building is on the right (South) side of the road.

December 27, 2011
Colin has spent this week enjoying the aftermath of Christmas and family. It was great to visit with Preston and hear some stories of companion antics in his Ventura CA mission.
Colin's comment on the way home was a reaction to his impending departure for the MTC on January 4, 2012, "Oh! I've gotta pack. I hate packing."
He is now trying to cram in all the secular reading that is possible and catching up on some movies that he loves.
Christmas gifts were all missionary related and he now has 3 or 4 shower/toiletry bags with stuff to go in them.
Santa brought him several talks by John Bytheway and several journals for writing. Not much stationary for writing to home with snail mail so there will be good use of the email system.
We are just getting his Missionary Profile done for the mission office. We still don't have the arrival time at the MTC so I hope we get that soon or we'll have to just dump him on the curb and hope he finds the right place to be.
More to come as time goes by. I will try to put together a good title page so that you can see more details about the Washington Everett Mission
